Scientific Meeting of Institutional Links British-Russian project (Moscow, 2019)

The fourth face-to-face meeting of Institutional Links project participants took place in Moscow in July, 2019. Prof. John Blacker, Dr. Gert Goltz and Dr. Antonia Borissova from the University of Leeds have visited MUCTR.
On July, 22 – July, 24 prof. John Blacker, Dr. Antonia Borissova and Dr. Gert Goltz have visited a Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia (fig. 1-2). A discussion on the project took place.
Two article drafts were demonstrated during this meeting, the experimental one, and one with quantum chemical and kinetic modeling results. Both sides have a fruitful dicussion. As a result, a new mass-transfer model for immobilized catalyst was suggested.
After the end of scientific discussions, the parties made a joint walk around Moscow and took photos.
We think that such scientific visits allow scientists to interact most fruitfully, and the inclusion of such visits into the project’s programme is a very important advantage of the Institutional Links projects.
