In February 2019, the second visit of a scientific group from the D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia to the University of Leeds tool plase. From February 18 to February 22 I. Mitrichev (Senior Lecturer), Podobedova A.Ya. and Vasiliev M.V. (both - lab. assistants), visited the University of Leeds. During the visit, there was a discussion on the results of the Institutional Links project on the topic: "Combining experimental methods and mathematical modeling, including chemical kinetics, heat and mass transfer, from the atomic to plant scale"..

  On February 18, a group of researchers from Russia arrived in Leeds. Work meetings took place on February 19-21. At this meetings, parties discussed the forthcoming publication on quantum-chemical research in the field of organic catalysis.

On February 20, Dr. Anthony Borissova made an excursion for colleagues from MUCTR to LEMAS (Leeds Electron Microscopy and Spectroscopy Center), where they saw a number of scanning electron microscopes (SEM) and a huge transmission microscope (TEM).

  A plan for the final report on the grant was also drawn up and possible prospects for further scientific cooperation were discussed.
